updated giving transparency in this area.
Safety Audits/Inspections

- Regular equipment maintenance and safety Inspections
- Regular vehicle inspections
- Monthly safety committee meetings
- Regular toolbox meetings
- Daily pre-start checks
Training is a major priority at Western Irrigation. Following suitability assessment,
all staff must undertake a pre employment medical, with field staff completing additional
drug screening and mine workers health surveillance certificate prior to commencement
of their employment. Individuals are also sponsored through a variety of trade-related
courses i.e. forklift operations, white card, hiab operation, 4WD training for remote
work, first aid certificate, police clearance, confined space. Western Irrigation
has a rigorous competency based assessment over and above industry standards.
For clients with site specific safety and training requirements, Western Irrigation
will work with them to ensure all staff receive the necessary accreditations to
ensure contract compliance.
